Concert In The Park

Gus went to his first concert and loved every second of it! On Thursdays Hurricane has a concert in the park, and last night the Houston Brothers performed. Kyle said the lady who was playing bass played with a big name band but I forgot who (she is left of the bright light behind kyle). We got there late, but the 40 minutes we saw was(were?) awesome. Is it was or were I never know? The droid took the pics so they are awful but we had to capture the event!

    What a fun thing - concert in the park. I want to go!

    FYI: The correct usage is were. Drop the extra phrase (we saw) to help recognize the plural form. The 40 minutes were awesome.
