38.6 Weeks

Tomorrow is the big day. I am excited to not be pregnant, although I have felt really good! It is just hard picking up after a 2 year old with a basketball in your way. I have gained a total of 20 pounds. Wednesday at my doctors appointment I was dilated to a 3 and 50%, which is weird because I swear last week he said 60%. I cannot wait to meet this little guy, but am sad at the same time for Gus. It is the strangest feeling. Sad, that he won't have all of the attention, but I know he will love his new baby brother. Oliver got Gus a shark back pack, monster truck, and a baby bottle (for his babies). Kyle gave Gus and me a blessing tonight, so I think we are ready!! Ready or not this baby is coming.

No Girls Allowed

This is the "No Girls Allowed Room" or the boys room. I redid it from when I had Gus, still a few touches that need to be added here and there.

Pecan Harvesting

Saturday the 19th of January brought another year of pecan harvesting. I posted a video so you could see what exactly we do. A big tractor comes and wraps its claws around the tree and violently shakes. Pretty Neat eh. Then us low lifes have to go and hole them (take off the outer dark shell so my mom can crack them). We tarp the ground under the trees so it makes it easier to dump into a big pile. Gus thought the tractor was pretty neat. My mom has 5 pecan trees, and Mike finally let her shake the middle 3 trees this year. Probably made her year right there. The pecans are good this year, the back tree has the best nuts. It was a perfect day for nut harvesting, its funny to drive around town I think everyone in Hurricane does it the same day, so you see family after family outside raking, and picking up nuts. The pictures are from my camera so they are a little crappy.

Pictures of January 2013

January 2013 picture style. We drove to Kolob one Sunday to see if we could find some deer, which we did and Gus was so excited about. We have gone on lots of rhino rides (thanks mama and papa Ballard). We have successfully taught Gus the art of dipping french fries in ice cream! Woot Woot. We have on loan to us, until Shell gets married, a very old piano. The piano guy (Laird Campbell) has been working on it tirelessly. It finally plays, Laird says it just needs a couple hours more work and some tuning. Gus absolutely loves it. He will sit there and play and sing twinkle twinkle or the snow man song every single night. We have enjoyed a few nice days outside, we have gone to a few basketball games at the highschool and at Diamond Ranch Academy (with the Baccioccos). We have taken Gus to the Washington Rec Center to go swimming a couple of times, and Gus has helped mama with her nuts while she tends!

38 Weeks

The countdown is almost over! Dr. Lunt is going to induce me on 1/25/13!!! Hip Hip Hooray
I was dilated to a 2+ and 60% at my last doctors appointment.

High and Tight

Gus got a new haircut by a new hairstylist. We usually take him to Phillipe here, but I new Shane would be able to do a 60's high and tight like Kyle wanted. Gus was so good during the entire appointment. I was so sad seeing his curls get cut off, I nearly cried. He looks so handsome now.

Weeks 31-37

35 Weeks

37 Weeks

Well I am just getting bigger and bigger that is for sure. Someone tonight at YW's told me that my stomach has gotten so big just in the last week. Well, thanks for that, and it wasn't even a YW. I didn't gain a single pound from weeks 34-36. Woot Woot. Total weight gained thus far is 19 pounds, but I feel like my butt and thighs are lots bigger than with Gus! I have felt pretty good, most days.  The days Gus doesn't sleep at night I am pretty emotional, it reminds me of when he was first born. The only days I cried after he was born were the days I got zero sleep at night. It is hard when he wakes up because then it wakes up Oliver in my belly and he will just go crazy kicking and stuff for 30 or so minutes. I was dilated to a 1 and 25% effaced at my 36 week visit. I just pray this little boy comes before his due date and not 11 days over like Gus. I am going to ask Dr. Lunt if he will start me early if this boy doesn't come before my due date. I have got lots of projects done due to my nesting, every day. I find more and more to do/clean/create its great I wish I was this productive everyday of my life!!! Oliver seems more mellow than Gus was in my belly, I think?
Their shared bedroom is almost done, I will have to take pictures of that

New Years Eve/Day

Gus got a new big boy bed for New Years. I have a love/hate relationship with it, but I realize his lack of sleeping through the night occurred when he was in his crib turned toddler bed as well. He has been the worst sleeper lately. He wakes up 2-4 times a night, New Years night was the worst, Kyle almost beat the kid, we even ended up taking him on a drive. He screamed for 2 hours straight it was awful!!!! We were blaming it on his molars, but come to find out he has all of his teeth. For New Years Eve we went to my sisters house and partied and ate and partied and ate. We went home early, but didn't end up going to sleep until 4 in the morning because of Gus boy. It is a really good thing he is so darn cute! The first priceless picture is of Macy and Gus, Macy's little sister got blessed so we drove to Cedar to attend.

Christmas 2012

Gus was spoiled this year! I made him his very own teepee, he got a basketball hoop, which he still plays all day everyday. He says nice shot, I missed it, oh yeah, mom shoot, dad shoot, baskeball (his version of how to say it), and dang. I didn't take very many pictures Christmas day, but we had a good Christmas. Kyle got a new gun I already forgot what kind I bought him, he got me a Blendtec!!
