Finally the time has arrived to find out the gender. Bruce will be the only person to understand the title:) I have done zip projects because all the projects I want to do are based around the gender, so needless to say I am ready to find out!

The answer is
Aren't these the cutest cake pops Summer did some on Ava's cake and she gave me the idea we both give props to Bakerella for the ingenius idea. Don't laugh at the poem. I know I am not a poet:)
The ultrasonographer said she is very very sure it is a boy, he was crossing his legs and both hands were between his legs(figures). We got a somewhat good pic of boy parts. I have another ultrasound in four weeks. Everything looked great other than hiding the gender which I am grateful.

Weekend Review

the story of these two pics are below. Too lazy to move:)

Thursday Kyle, Rachelle, Andy, and I went mountain bike riding on the Jem Trail. It was full of amazing views, risky cliff riding, and Kyle not being able to ride the whole thing due to technical difficulties with his bike. He has tried to do the entire ride before, but the last time his tire blew, this time his chain malfunctioned at the same exact point as last time. My doc didn't pre approve the ride, but I was quite careful.

Friday I did the East Rim Trail hike with Kyle's new soon to be sister-in-law Ali-Alison-or little bamboo(her indian name). Woot Woot hands to Kip for taking the plunge. She isn't indian, but with the amount of hiking she did on her vaca from the Big Island of Hawaii you would think she was. She logged thirty miles in 6 or 7 short days. The hike was breathtaking. It is a ten mile hike that starts at the East entrance of ZNP and ends at weeping rock. We were thinking it was a leisure hike all down hill, but we were wrong. The first five and a half miles was full of up hills and sand. I was thinking quietly to myself, as I do alot, that if the rest is like this I might not make it. It was really fun and little bamboo is good company! Luckily that last four and half miles is down hill, which when you finish you are wishing it was more uphill.

Wednesday I made apricot and strawberry jam with the nieces. The strawberry is very runny, but this year my apricot jam turned out to be superb!

Saturday was our first day back to Kolob. Some trees had fallen by the cabin so the boys chopped them up as the girls watched admiring their handy work. It was a good day with all of the Ballards minus Adam, so it wasn't entirely amazing cause Adam wasn't their of course.

Monday the day for remembering. We went to the ghost town Shonesberg(pictures at the beginning). It is located in Springdale and memorial day is the only day they let family members of those buried there come onto the property. It is an amazing place with a tiny cemetary and one house that still stands. The house belonged to Oliver Demille he had three wives, to correspond to the wives the house has three front doors. Some of his decendents were there telling history, they say the same workers who worked on the SLC temple worked on this house so all of the foundation stones are perfectly square thus the reason it still stands. Jim Trees, who recently passed away and who owned the apple orchard, had his chimmnies on his house replicate the ones on Olivers home. The top floor of the home is one big open area so they would have dances and such at their house.

Later that day we went swimming and had a BBQ at the Stout's residence. Then we had a campout on our new trampoline. We slept till 4 am then the darn birds started chirping. I am quite surprised we lasted that long the moon was full and being pregnant is not the best for sleeping on tramps;)
