Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving started off with the infamous Toquerville Trails Turkey Trot. It is a deadly run in the back country of Toquerville. This year Bub, Rachelle, and I were the only brave ones. The race ended up being short for me, now in addition to fat boys remind me never to eat an English muffin with honey on it before a run! No pics of this yet.

We had dinner at my madres which was delicious! I was in charge of stuffing and mashed potatoes. I got my mashed potatoes recipe from The Pioneer Woman, they were artery clogging to say the least. Go to her website and you will see for yourself. Yikes!!

Kyle did his famous deep fried turkey, YUM! You would think we didn't eat enough calories with my mashed potatoes! If you have never tried a deep fried turkey it is a must, so very moist. As you can see it is mustache movember:)

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree 5K Run/Walk

For the past three years I have been putting on a 5K in association with the Hurricane Valley Christmas Tree Festival. All the proceeds raised goes to buy presents for families in the area that won't be getting Christmas this year! It is a really fun race with really cute t-shirts (why everyone really runs a race:) I have put applications at Classic Sports, the Hurricane Library, St. George Running Center, Emerald City Smoothies, if you want to come and run leave your email and I will send you the app. to sign up!!! The Race Day is December 12 2009

First annual Charlie Brown Christmas Tree 5K Winners

Domesticated

About a month ago I attended Wacky Wednesday (trying to become domesticated you see;) a day our Relief Society puts aside for strict craft making. While I was there a couple of lady's in my ward had these cute vintage Singer Featherweight sewing machines. So I went straight home and bid on ebay to see how high the bidding would go, well needless to say it didn't go as high as I thought because I won the bid. Below is my winning. I absolutely love it, the project below the machine is my first finished project done by my 1936 featherweight. It is a car seat canopy I made for my sister in law Summer who just had a baby (the natural way to boot:)

Fishing Buddies

We had such a fun time taking Noah fishing. He kept saying on the way over "but Kyle you never take me fishing at my house." It was his first fishing experience, and he had a blast. Unfortunately Meggers fell asleep on the way over and Madi had horse lessons!

Proof that he will bait fish instead of fly fish for some people (nieces and nephews)

Noah got bored, decided he would help Kyle

Donuts Anyone?

Made homemade donuts for the first time with Mr. and Mrs. Nielson

Received a burn while doing it and after washing my clothes they still smell like grease

She has made homemade donuts for the neighbors every Halloween for a long time.

Kyle and I ate too many donuts during the process, happiest day of our life
