MAY 2020

A pic of a cute little toolbox Kyle made that Bruce uses. The table from work Kyle showed his mom for her to put in her "she shed." We caught a bunch of goldfish at Kolob and brought them home. They are currently our pets. Only 3 out of 12 have survived the wrath of the Ballard Boys.

The elders qurom presidency in our ward put together a priesthood video in lieu of Fathers and Sons. So Kdiddy was supposed to say a few minute thing, instead he asked the 99 year old Weldon Heaton to spit out some wisdom. So Kyle talked about using your priesthood until the very end faithfully then introduced Weldon. So while they did that we went to Weldon's farm and played with the baby goats and coveted the garden he has. Gus did his first hunt. He bought a turkey tag and they have been hunting for the elusive turkey all month long. A picture of the boys after a day of work. We had to clean Kyle's work truck the last little  bit while we waited for Gpa to come up and we helped him get the cool chicken table for the she shed.

Grandma Linie got a cool bear for the cabin from Jared Heath. We took the top off the scout. The kids love it. The kids wash their bikes while Kyle washes his. He keeps his bikes in tip top shape. I've been running lots. We finally purcharsed a Loren Covington off of Etsy. I happened upon it in the wee hours of the morning. It was just happen chance that I found it. Kyle was so excited. Gus has been hunting turkeys a lot this month. He shot one by Amy's house but they couldn't find it so it probably wasn't a kill shot. The Stg Temple is getting worked on. They took off the annex, it looks crazy.

Kinbin graduated! We watched it via youtube, so graduation was weird due to covid. We went to the cabin with and the goldfish were spawning. We brought 12 home. Unfortunately only 3 have survived the wrath of my kids. Mother's Day was blah this year. My fam came over for dessert that evening. It rained super hard that evening as well and the kids played in it. Andy is making these cool "billy ball" metal garden decor things. I bought some for my mom and me. My friend Onjali (Covington) Pettingill found a lump at the first of March. They did a biopsy and found out it was cancerous. Then she got her PET scan results and it showed he metastasized to her bones. So now she is dealing with Stage 4 cancer. Its HER 2+ so they are giving her hormones as we speak to stop her ovaries from working. I wish I lived closer to help her more. We sent some notes and a care package to her. I asked a few of our friends from HS to write her nots. She has been my friend as long as I can remember. Like pre school age. Its really crazy and sad and frustrating. She has been dealing with marital stuff for 3 or 4 years now she has this.

Jack graduated pre school! I almost wrote high school! I'm sure that will come soon enough though. I took the kids with me to get fingerprints done. They were kinda a nightmare. One of the cops on duty there told them if they were good for me he would give them a candy. I think he could hear the struggle was real with me and them. We went to the first concert in the park. It was Casey Lofthouse. It was a lot of fun. Kyle and the boys went to Kolob with Gpa that evening to turn on the water so I met them down there. Before the concert we had a garlic braiding class at Ali Organics. My mom has made 330 masks for the USS Ronald Reagan. She had Gus come over and help her sew some up. She said he did a good job. That was one of his goals for church, to learn how to sew. He asks me almost daily, but I keep telling him later because of the monster younger two. It's hard to find time to sit down with him when no one else is there to go through my drawers and stuff like that. I have given all of the kids their haircuts since Rona. I'm getting better every time. I also used a walmart bleach kit to bleach Oliver and Jack's hard. Jacks turned kinda orange so I need to get some purple shampoo to lighten it up a bit.
