Gus' 2 Year Birthday Party

Gus turned TWO and it still blows my mind! We started the day with decorations galore and some chocolate milk and a little Disney. Then we met Kyle for birthday lunch at Cafe Rio, we wanted to do something fun during lunch and couldn't decide. We finally decided to take him to the Lifetime store on the Boulevard and let him play on their playground.  We want one of everything there now. After Gus' nap we got ready for the shin dig. He loved his Bambi cake I made him, and he was spoiled by his Aunts, Uncles, and Gma's and Gpa's. We got him a wiggle car, which he loves. His favorite present today are two trucks that go when you push a button. He got a dinosaur backpack, t-shirt, horses, animals, four wheeler with a gun, stackadoos, money, and a tool set. Spoiled Spoiled. We put him in bed at 10:30 and Kyle said he was singing Happy Birthday to himself and Teddy until 1 am. I put him down for a nap the next day and I could hear him singing appy irthday you, appy irthday, you. Silly Boy.

While saying his prayers he says one word i.e.: He starts out with Father,  Monson, Coco, friends, sciptures, Oliver, Right (CTR), and then Amen
We have a little boy down the street that got burned by gas really bad and had to go in the ambulance then life flighted to Vegas but this is how Gus describes the situation. Boy, gas, anulance or sometimes he says weeooo, burned, hit. It is pretty cute and he is very concerned by it. I also tell him if he rides his bike in the road a car will hit him then the ambulance will have to take him to get fixed. So now while riding his bike he will say, ride road anulance hit.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Willy Wonka Family!
Gus was the cutest Oompa Loompa out there, and I learned I should have cut a little hole for my belly to pop through that tv box/chocolate bar. Gus was super ornery when he woke up from his nap, why is it that when we need him to be happy is the most unhappy. Well, we pumped him full of sugar the entire night and that cheered him right up! We watched Oompa Loompa videos on Youtube leading up to Halloween so Gus would know what he was, I think it worked. My mom made his cute pants, well I cut them out and she sewed. Made pom poms for his shoes, bought brown socks and a brown sweater, borrowed Amy's green hairspray and this little Oompa Loompa was set!

Witches Night Out 2012

I held my annual witches night out the night before All Hallows Eve this year. We made witch brooms for the craft and ate yummy broccoli and spicy corn chowder soup.

Hunt 2012 Part 2

Grandpa Bruce came hunting with us a couple of nights. We saw nothing, but it was a fun relaxing drive. Gus says deer over and over and over now.

Hunt 2012 Part 1

Kyle drew out for the hunt this year. We spent the entire week every evening hunting. Gus and I took lots of crazy pictures of ourselves while Kyle was hiking around to pass the time. Gus pretended to drive the Jimmy every chance he got, and we searched endlessly for that perfect deer. The first picture is of Kyle on the first morning of the hunt. We were on Smith's Mesa and just about to leave when he looked over and saw a buck. He jumped out ran around the car about 3 times trying to find the perfect position. He shot at that dumb buck at least 5 times, and we both thought he nailed it. Gus was sleeping quietly during this time. At this point Kyle starts running after it, as I looked back I saw it prancing away. Kyle swears he nailed it and heard a thud. He spent at least 4 hours searching for it and even took my brother Chance back up later that day to help him track it down. They didn't find any blood, but saw 3 spots where it had laid down... Darn buck got away. We spent the majority of our time on Smith's and didn't see another deer besides that buck. To be continued...

Meeting baby Millie

The Funderburk's welcomed a sweet new baby girl into the world a couple of weeks ago. We brought them Cafe Rio for lunch which Gus and Macy made a lunch date out of! Millie is the cutest tinniest being I have ever seen. It makes me excited/nervous for our second one.
