Trying to teach Gus how to clean. Child Labor

We have had some really nice rainstorms the past couple of months.

This is Gus' way of hide and seek. He hides his head then says, Ma Ma Ma Ma, then I reply where is Gus has anyone seen my baby Gus?

We had a tornado warning one day. These clouds were crazy fast.

Gus always put Kyle's helmet and gloves on. We finally bought him his own bike, helmet, and gloves. He still prefers Kyle's though.

The neighborhood gang, minus a few. The Sant's brought over creamsicles so we all got to enjoy them.

Kyle was teaching Gus how to treat the leather on his favorite pair of shoes. Mocassins.

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Ballard. Gus had fun listening to Grandpa. Grandpa even let Gus hold his knife that was once his Dad's (Afton).

Gus yells Gracie Sants name numerous times when we are outside. If she is outside she will tell her mom I think Gus wants to play with me. She is such a cute little Girl!

Gus is a climber. We found him on the windowsill one day...

The cousins came over one Sunday and they all climbed the tree. Our trees are perfect for climbing.

After we visited Gma and Gpa we went to eat at the Flying Monkey, then we rode the shuttle into the park because it was stormy and not 110 degrees!

This little boy while I was in the shower came to me with his diaper off and said shawr (shower in his language). I swear I can't do anything alone.

We have had peaches GALORE (thanks Gma Linie and Ann & Alan)

One of our crazy thunderstorms. This one brought hail.

Gus on his new strider one night. Aunt Shelley saw them and tracked them down like paparazzi. She took pictures the entire block ride.

Another peach GALORE picture. This time we made jam with them.

I was in the shower one night and I came out to find Gus sitting on our bed with books reading to himself.  One of the books was the toddler handbook, I hope he learned lots...

Kyle does pushups every night and this is Gus trying to copy his moves. Once again climbing the walls.

Thursday we live for the garbage truck. He was watching so intently while biting his fingernails. Anything better in life?

Nicholas had his first Freshman football game. Gus absolutely loves football and basketball, well any sport. We drove to Cedar to watch it. Nick did so well!

After the game Kyle taught Gus how to sprint. It was pretty hilarious to watch Gus, almost laying on the track trying to sprint.

Gus' New Pool Trick

We were trying to teach the little tike how to dive, but this is his new trick. A FLIP!!

Demo Derby 2012

Rowdy at SPC did another car in the demo derby, so we went to support him. It was forever long, but luckily it was windy so it wasn't 110 degrees. Gus loved when they crashed into each other, and to this day he will say "Mom, cars, boom, hot" translation: The cars hit each other really hard and a couple started on fire so they were hot.

Mek

We got Gus a strider bike or mek has he calls it. Everyday all day he is on this thing. It is so fun to see the progress he is making, he is starting to lift his legs and glide a little bit. He is infatuated with it and his helmet. Yesterday Kyle bought him little tiny biking gloves just like his, they are the cutest things on his tiny fingers!

Splash Pad

The splash pad is literally 4 blocks away, and I never take Gus there. It is always so so so packed, that I avoid it at all costs. We went there one evening and we were the only patrons there, for 30 minutes. He loved every second we were there, so did Kyle as you can tell.

Desperado Dual

Kyle did the Desperado Dual the end of July. It is a 110 mile bike ride that starts and ends in Panguitch. We went up as a family and stayed at the Purple Sage Motel. Panguitch is such a cute little town with cute little shops down the main drag. We got to Panguitch got our room, Kyle got registered, then we were off to dinner. We were just going to eat at the local JJ's type place, then Kyle got a text from his riding buddies making fun of us so we succumbed to their peer pressure and joined them at the Cowboy Cafe. It was really awkward for me, here I was with Kyle and Gus amongst Kyles 6 riding buddies. His riding buddies include: Roy Hoyt, Aaron Esplin, Coach Homer's brother, Brad Gardner, and Brad's friend. It was really awkward to say the least! Kyle really only rides with Aaron and Roy and the others were there with Roy and Aaron. After dinner we went to the local grocery store, which reminded me of Lins when it was where Dr. Carter's office is now. Gus loved the hotel room, it was so fun and he went to bed and slept so good I was very surprised.
Kyle woke up bright and early and headed to the start line. There wasn't much for me and Gus to do during the day, so we shopped some of the cute stores then went to the finish line and waited. We waited in front of the fire station, it was fun watching the different riders come in. It was nothing like a marathon finish line, very low key. I couldn't believe it really, there was literally no one waiting at the finish and no food for the riders after they were done. I really should put on a bike race and show them what a finish line should look like. It was $70 to race too, you would think they would have a little something at the end to say job well done... At around noon we saw Roy and sat and waited with him, and then Aaron came in a little while later. Then the moment arrived when my main man came in, I was so proud of him. He finished way faster than I thought he would and he acted like it was no big deal. I think his ride time was 5 hours 30 minutes, but I am not exactly sure. He said the last leg from Circleville to Panguitch was brutal, but he rocked that race. We loved the Purple Sage and the cooler weather in Panguitch, we want to go and just visit some time soon again!

Weeks 12-15

12-15 Weeks
I had to document my 14 week belly. Kyle asked if I was sticking my belly out during the above picture, my reply, why would I want to look bigger than I actually am? When I hit 12 weeks I started feeling better. I would have 2 really good days then revert back to feeling down right awful. That lasted until 14 weeks, for the last 2 weeks I have felt really good most of the week with maybe one bad day. My energy is back, not 100%, but definitely much better. I still don't eat chicken, eggs, milk, or most meats. I hate the heat this pregnancy, which is funny because I was a lot farther along in the middle of the summer with Gus. We have had some really nice rainstorms which I have been very grateful for. We get to find out what we are having when I am 16 weeks, which I am really excited for. I just want to start doing projects for this next babe and I can't do that without knowing the gender. Part of me wants a boy because Gus has been so fun and lets face it I already have a nice wardrobe for a boy. A girl of on the other hand would be so fun to dress and do her hair. I am torn, I tell Kyle I am going to have a boy because I keep saying if it is a girl I am done and Heavenly Father wants me to multiply and replenish the earth!

Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day... We woke up to thunder and rain, my two favorite things in the middle of July. The rain cleared just in time for the parade, just our luck! The parade is funny to me, all of the tiny tots are on the floats throwing candy to their parents on the side of the road. I watched most parents grudgingly pick up the candy, it was hilarious. The parade lasted all but 10 minutes then we were off to home. It poured on and off the whole day which was lovely. My mom got the annual water slide and we had a bbq. I made the homemade root beer for everyone, and Kyle taught Gus what to do with the fog from the root beer. All in all it was a lovely day celebrating our pioneers.
