JANUARY 2014 PART 2 DISNEYLAND

Kyle gave Oliver and me the best birthday present ever. He took us to the happiest place on earth. It was so fun being at Disneyland for my Birthday. I got a birthday pin, so did Ollie and every worker and even most visitors to DL said Happy Birthday. We went to DL three days straight from the moment they opened until closing time. We were exhausted to say the least. We said we needed a vacation from our vacation. For Gus' souvenir we decided to get him the pressed penny book and whenever we saw any pressed penny machines he got one. He absolutely loves it. One of the workers gave us a nifty map that tells us the location of all the penny machines. I guess its kinda a big deal to some people. Oliver got a Mickey Mouse soccer ball and Mickey ears with his name sewn on it. The last day we were there we pulled the trigger and ended up getting season passes. We figured we would go again on my birthday next year and they credit you the amount you spent on your current trip so it was cheaper than buying another 3 day park hopper next year. We also got season passes because this year is the 50th anniversary of sleeping beauty. They were having a special showing in the Lincoln theatre and those who got wrist bands could stay in Fantasy Land an extra 3 hours and Maleficient and Sleeping Beauty would be there. Oliver didn't last through the movie but Gus and Kyle loved it. It was really fun seeing Maleficient and Sleeping Beauty. The boys for the most part were real troopers every day. I was really impressed with them. Gus wasn't tall enough for Cars, Star Tours, or Soaring over California but one of his customers suggested we bring his boot which we did and we had to stuff socks and napkins in them to make him tall enough. He couldn't even walk in them we had to gingerly place him down next to the height measurement and he couldn't walk in his boots down to the ride. It was pretty hilarious, but he loved those rides. Except Star Tours him and Kyle were petrified of that one. Gus' favorite ride was Astro Orbitor which we did I bet a good 10 times. One of my best friends Onjali lives in Carlsbad and she has season passes so she met us in DL. It was the funnest play group ever. She was expecting and I was super impressed at the amount she was able to walk.  It was the perfect time to go to Disneyland. The longest line was the boat cruise which we waited 30 minutes for. Every other ride we just walked on. I fell in love with Disneyland once again. It was the perfect place to turn the dirty thirty at!
