AUGUST 2014

August. We went to Kolob. I don't think we camped because we were so tired from running the West Rim. So we went up had dinner then came back then went back up the next day. We had so much fun. We ate ant butts that tasted like lemon. We went to the ranch to pick up some of Kyle's game cameras. Gus loves that place. We have been going to football games to watch Nicholas. Oliver loves the tiger. Nick's doing so well can't wait to see what happens this year. Grandma Linie gave Gus a bird feeder to paint. I picked out some stain and let him stain it a dark brown. It's so cute hanging up. Gus' hair is getting so long. I tricked him into letting me put it up in a pony. He hated it. We took the Funderburk girls while their parents stayed in Springdale for their anniversary. They are all so close in age it was like having 2 sets of twins. Crazy busy. We went swimming, read scriptures, had popcorn and watched frozen. Then the next day we drove them up to Springdale to meet them at their hotel the La Quinta which has an awesome pool. On the way up Millie got into her formula. It was a total mess. I told Kyle I could smell her formal and wondered if she spilled her bottle, nope she just spilled almost the entire container of formula! Grandma Linie grew some awesome pumpkins in her garden. She gave one to Gus and he treasures it. Kyle and I were able to go on a couple bike rides together. I love riding I think more than running. We just rode to the top of Sand Hollow hill and back I think its 14 miles. I was in charge of the Peach Days 12k this year. We had 46 runners run it. It was a lot of fun to put on another race since I don't do the Charlie Brown/Santa Stampede anymore. I put in many hours before and I am glad its over with! I wrote down a lot of things I will do differently for next year. It was fun being more involved with Peach Days though. Ashlee's water heater in her basement went out which meant major flooding. I went over at 10 one night and stayed for 2 hours. It was a major mess. The next day after work we went over and helped her clean up. She found this cute elephant costume that we put Oliver in. He loves elephants, so he thought he was pretty neat in it. The last picture is the picture of Oliver they have hanging up in the nursery room at church. He is so sweet! He turned 18 months this month and I can't believe it. He only says mamama which is super frustrating. He is so fun to have around, he can be the biggest bully though. He loves climbing things, being outside, riding wiggle cars, watching frozen, and following Gus wherever he goes.

JULY 2014

this house is across the street from the Cambria house. It is amazing and I dream of owning it someday.

July is my favorite month. I think it's because we spend a week at Cambria. We had so so much fun this year. I went running almost every morning on the boardwalk. The fog in the morning is amazing. We looked for sea glass, boogy boarded, and just played at the beach everyday. One day we went to San Luis Obispo to the bubble gum wall, which Gus really liked. We went to the 4th of July parade at Cayucous. They know how to throw a parade together. We watched the fireworks on Moonstone beach. The whole week was magical and I could spend an entire month at Cambria. I put a pic of us doing the Bryce Half in June, but I think it was July that we ran it. Jill Bacciocco ran it as well. We ate at Ruby's in for breakfast following the race and it was delicious. I was in charge of the 24th of July float for the primary. We blew up a ton of red, white, and blue balloons and gave each child a flag. We were representing the patriotic pioneers. My mom got the huge water slide for the 24th. The kids loved it. We spent many hours there going down it. The day after the 24th Kyle and I ran the West Rim Trail as a date. It was amazingly beautiful and tiring at the same time. We ended up doing it in 3 1/2 hours. Pretty fast. We met the Funderburks at the Veyo pool. I love that place, so much fun.  We fed the missionaries and experience that the boys loved and that I should do much more. We poured cement on the side of the house for Kyle to park on and for a basketball court.
