Kyle and I have felt so much love and concern through Facebook. I have cried numerous times when I read some of the comments people have made. Thanks for all of the kind words!
Tonight I am thankful for my family. We were involved in a car accident on i-15 that has us pretty shaken up. We were slowing down for an accident that had happened and merging into one lane as being advised by police and then POW. We were hit by a truck going very fast. We slid for a long time and when we finally stopped I looked back and the entire trunk was collapsed in our back seat where Gus was. It was inches from smashing him and we had to weasel him to get him out of his seat. We are still in shock, but glad that we are all safe. We had some x-rays done on Gus' legs to make sure they were ok and he's good.
I guess I should post on facebook, maybe then I'd get more comments. :) I can't believe you all walked away from that without ANY physical injuries. I'm so glad you had angels watching out for you on the other side. It's both good and bad that you will remember this forever. Good because it will remind you of all you have and the importance of seat belts, but bad because it makes you nervous and scared. When I was working in the ICU it made me overly paranoid, yet super relaxed. I realized that bad and crazy things can happen to anyone, so that made me pretty lax, because I know I can't stress over stuff that's out of my control, but at the same time I usually think of the worst case scenario for a lot of things. C'est la vie.
ReplyDeleteSooooo glad you're all alright. We love you guys.
I thought about you guys and that accident all night when I read that! It made me think of my boys and what I would do it they got hurt or worse. It made me tear up just thinking about it, so I can't imagine having to go through it. I am glad you are all ok!
