Thanksgiving Weekend





Our Thanksgiving weekend was lovely. We ate at my mothers with most of my family present then the next day we set up Christmas. Gus loves the pretty Christmas lights outside and our tree!

Car Wreck Facebook Edition


Kyle and I have felt so much love and concern through Facebook. I have cried numerous times when I read some of the comments people have made. Thanks for all of the kind words!

Tonight I am thankful for my family. We were involved in a car accident on i-15 that has us pretty shaken up. We were slowing down for an accident that had happened and merging into one lane as being advised by police and then POW. We were hit by a truck going very fast. We slid for a long time and when we finally stopped I looked back and the entire trunk was collapsed in our back seat where Gus was. It was inches from smashing him and we had to weasel him to get him out of his seat. We are still in shock, but glad that we are all safe. We had some x-rays done on Gus' legs to make sure they were ok and he's good.

    • Scott Dickey Dude, that is scary. One of my biggest fears right there. I was almost involved in a head on collision last Saturday. A truck swerved into my lane (lost control on slick roads) and just missed me... they ended up flipping their truck on the side of the road. Turned around to help them out. There was a family of 5 in there, everyone ended up alright, but holy cow, that could have been bad.

I was like oh no big deal until I realized my kids could have been hurt and I went ballistic on the poor girl - screaming and waving my arms in the middle of the road.         • Kyle Ballard I'm sure we will all be sore tomorrow. We had some x-rays on Gus' legs as there was lots of pressure put on them and he was whiny when he tried to walk. X-rays showed everything was ok. We had finally paid that car off a couple months back though:( glad we are all ok though

        • Wow I am so glad they are ok...that is so scary by yourself let alone with your little ones in the back...make sure you buy a new car seat too...I think insurance usually covers that with everything else cause once it is involved in any accident then it needs to be replaced...thank goodness none of you were hurt
