JANUARY 2020

January randomness:
We did the best prank on our neighbors. They asked me to watch their dog for the weekend. So I got some of our family pictures and replaced some of the picture frames on the walls with our family. It was great.

We went shooting on New Years Day. Its not ideal with Walter so me and him hiked around.

Gus was super sick in January. He stayed home for almost a week. Right before Christmas he got really sick too. He was gone for a full week then too.

We took the kids to a DSU basketball game. They loved it.

We met the Wilson's at Disneyland the end of January, after the first day Gma Linie and Gpa Bruce flew down and joined us. As you can see from the pictures we had an awesome time. Walter was on medication for an ear infection, but he was a happy little boy considering. Jack loved Splash Mountain, Oliver's favorite thing we did was the Star Wars ships. Walter loved the Dumbo, and Winnie the Pooh ride. He kept covering his mouth like he was scared. It was really cute. Gus loved Indiana Jones. He had a lot of fun with Grant and Noah and Ava. Disneyland food is subpar. I need to tell myself that before the next time we go. The beignets and dole whips are the only things worth getting there. They just lure you in with the smell and so you think that it will be ok but its not. It was Chinese New Year so we took some pics with Mulan in California adventure for Gus and Oliver's Chinese teachers Li Laosher and Chen Laosher. We walked 10-12 miles everyday. Gus was a trooper and walked the whole time the others were in and out of the BOB stroller. That thing carried everything it was crucial to the trip. The first day wasn't too busy, but the next two days got busier and busier. Our favorite souvenir is the smashed pennys. After every ride everyone would get one and try to fill up there penny books. I was impressed by how little our kids whined. They did really well considering how tiring it was. I think we are good not to go for 4-5 years now. The workers were somewhat rude, and they made it not so magical. Plus the business isn't ideal. We drove to Carlsbad on Friday and showed Bruce, Linie and the Wilsons how to rock that place. Took them to all of our favorite grub places and beaches. We boogie boarded, I got thrown so hard on a wave. Hit the mother earth. My sinuses still aren't the same I feel like.  It was an exhausting but fun trip!!!

Oliver was in Disneyland for his bday so he got his gift from his class when we got back. I got super super sick the Monday after we got back so this is Kyle picking the kids up from school. Before we left for Disney we had our pecans shook. We didn't get a great harvest. We had terrible wind in October that knocked 1or 2 garbages full. They were a bugger to rake up. They were heavy so I had to rake the same spot like 10 times to get the nuts into a pile. Raking always hurts my lower back too. That twisting motion, I guess I'm Just getting old. We went exploring at the Sand Dunes in the Jimmy. We ended up going down the jeep trail called Bill an Ted's or something like that.
