My very creative friend gave me the idea to start a food blog. Her food blog is pretty awesome, and I will not be as creative as her. I was typing my recipes into shutterfly, but now I am just going to do the blog thing. I wasn't going to share mainly because I didn't think it was that cool of a blog. The Force

I hope when Gus grows up he has a good imagination... I didn't watch a single minute of the superbowl or the commercials, but Kyle said this was one of his favorite commercials, I agree.

I have been going running with Gus. It is so fun, he loves to be in his stroller and I love to be outside running. I was talking to Kyle the other day and telling him how much I missed running and how much I really enjoy it. I didn't think I would miss it at all. I used to just do it because I was too cheap to buy a gym pass, and it was a good workout. It has been so blasted windy in Hurricane the last week or two. I mean like crazy gail force winds, but I managed to go a couple days last week when it wasn't too windy. I don't go very far yet, like 1-2 miles is plenty and kicks my butt. I never thought I would let myself get so out of shape. Alas I did so back to pounding the pavements, but now I have a little boy to keep me company.

Fishy Fishy Quiet Book Page

Finally!!! I am almost done with these blasted but cute quiet book pages. It has been fun, I find it relaxing to sit and sew/create these pages. I joined a group of nine girls and we are all making nine pages of the same thing then trading when we are all done. So when all is said and done I will have a nine page quiet book. My page is a fishing page. The fish are filled with a magnet and at the end of the fishing pole will be a magnet covered by a worm. I got super strong magnets so it will work through the felt. The kids fish for the fishy then match the fish with the corresponding color on the page. I am excited to see everyones creations. I am thinking of doing another group, would anyone want to join?

Things left to do on the page

1. sew colored blocks together

2. create a cute worm/magnet

3. cut out nine fish bowls gray felt

4. cut out nine fish bowls vinyl (I love the vinyl it makes it look like it really is glass.

4. cut out 18 seaweed pieces

5. cut out 9 sand bottoms

6. stitch the fish tails closed

7. sew fish bowl together

8. sew a little pocket for fishing pole to rest in on bottom

Below is what I made for Superbowl Sunday. It is an English Trifle and it is to die for. Kyle had it at our friends house and hasn't stopped talking about it. Now I know why...

This is what Kyle made. Chalupas and churizo. They were pretty darn good.

LV & Zion

We went on a Sunday drive to Zion. This time the weather let us drive all the way to the temple of sinawava. We only passed 2 cars in the canyon which was nice.

We went on a spontaneous trip to LV. Our friends told us about a new 3 story H&M that opened not to long ago at the Forum Shops so we decided to pay it a visit. I also wanted to get my ring cleaned at Tiffany's, and there is a huge Anthropologie to seal the deal.

Gus especially liked the live DJ at H&M. He kicked his legs the whole time shopping.

Gus was so good the entire time. I had him in my moby wrap (thanks slum) the entire time. He would just fall asleep when he was done looking around

Valentines
