My sisters camped on my Mom's property on Kolob then came and saw us at Gma Linie's cabin. Gma Linie made the most delicious fried chicken, then we did an impromptu brownie cake for Ashlee's bday which was that day. Gpa Bruce took us fishing. It was a great weekend.
The above quote is me exactly.
Whenever Kyle washes his mountain bike the kids follow suit.
This was my Mother's Day present. The painting that is. Its a Loren Covington, I found it weirdly on Etsy and we love it.
We love night rides in the scout during the Summer months. Jack has the inside of a baseball on his head.
Walter put on Oliver's flip flops to go somewhere. He often finds the big boys shoes and pretends he is a big boy as well. He is still taking afternoon naps which is very heavenly for me.
It got super windy, cold, and rainy one afternoon. Just for a split second though. It hasn't been monsoonal yet and we are missing that kind of weather.
Oliver reading President Taft Stuck in the Bath to Walt. Walt thinks the picture of President Taft in the bathtub is hilarious.
Sometimes our boys surprise us, and are very thoughtful. On this particular evening. Gus got all of the scriptures ready for everyone with their pages marked.
Poor Jack has really bad ecsema and mollescum contagiousum. This is the medicine we have to try to get rid of it. The oil is like $50, and it does help, but I put the acid on the mollescum and he screams bloody murder because it irritates his eczema. Poor kid.
My kids are obsessed with learning survival techniques. Everyone can start a fire with a flint and steel now. Heaven help us that we don't burn anything down. Even the 4 year old is a rockstar at it.
Found this boy hiding with an ice cream on the stairs. Dripping all over, he is so mischievous
For Father's Day Kyle took all of Bruce's cast iron and had Chad Holt do this funky thing above to get them all good again. He loved it
Jack and his friend Hannah Woodbury painting their toenails
Kyle and Gus mow Gma Linie's lawns every week. Gus does the lower lawns and Kyle does the upper. Kyle taught him how to do the upper, which he has done the last couple of times. I'm proud at how hard Gus can work, and for Kyle teaching him how to work hard. I think next year Oliver will be able to do the lower and Gus the upper.
Another Summertime next Scout ride.
It's been forever since I've decorated anything in our house. This was my latest project. The letters were surprisingly expensive.
Walt likes to eat on this tiny stool in the kitchen, he's a weirdo
One night Kyle and I needed to go to a couple of weddings in town. We left the kids, and came home to them sitting quietly watching a movie. Good little kids sometimes
Lilee Joy and me. She is the squishiest cutest little thing
The kids learned how to make these bottle cap containers that are water proof. They've been obsessed with them. Luckily, I have lots of lids from small gatorades on my long runs, so we have lots of little containers they have made.
Leesha, Oni, and Me. Oni got diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in March. It spread to her hip, ribs, and leg. She has been eating raw, and juicing everyday. Thats why she is slightly orange in color. It was devastating news. She has gone through so much the last couple of years that it was one of those why her moments. She has handled it awesome, and her last scan showed that the tumors are all gone except one small one. She has treatments every other week I think. I wish she lived closer so I could help her more.
Once a week during the Summer we do a run at like 9 or 9:30. It got way too hot too fast to keep it up. I was basically purple at the end of this 4 mile run.
Walt wearing Gus' baseball helmet during scripture study
We have a little problem with Walt. He thinks he is 9 like Gus and can have sharp knifes. I found him behind the couch downstairs with Kyle's super sharp knife open. I took it away and minutes later he was walking down the stairs with the above knife.
How we keep cool in the Summer when we aren't swimming
Oliver's crazy hair
Weird zucchini we picked and gave to Mary Lu. She took this pic of it.
My mom rode her bike over one Sunday and the kids took turns pushing each other around
One night Walter ate a waffle, corndog, cake, and some cereal!
Wawa loves him some Lilee time
Gus played in a summer baseball league. He had tournaments in Cedar a lot of weekends. It was long and hot, and not very enjoyable for the other kiddos. Gus is really good, so when he plays its fun to watch.
