SEPTEMBER 2017

The day before our anniversary I surprised Kyle and told him we were going to Carlsbad for our anniversary. We stayed with my high school friend Onjali, she has a little casita, in San Marcos. We boogie boarded, ate lots of yummy food and ice cream, went to the San Diego temple, and got her family the best donuts one morning.

Amy watched the boys part of the day Friday, and then Grandma Linie and Grandpa Bruce picked them up and took them to Kolob. Then on Saturday night they brought them back to Amy's to stay until Sunday afternoon. We are very grateful for family who are willing to take our 3 crazy boys for the weekend.

This is how the wild thing sleeps, very haphazardly.

Jack and Gus are my two boys who have attached to a blankie. This is Jack's blanket he is attached to.

trying to be brave enough to pet the sheep on our walk to school

One day I walked into my room to find these cute sun drawings all over my room. Literally there were at least 20 scattered everywhere. Oliver told me he wanted to put sunshine in my room. Seriously that kid is the sweetest.

Gus went to Laser Mania for a birthday party with his friends. He had so much fun

Fall branding with the cowboy cousins

We hunted our literal hearts out this year. It started in September with the muzzle loader. We cooked hot dogs over a fire one day, the boys thought it was the neatest thing ever. Oliver fell in the Jimmy one day while we were hunting. He hit just below his eye on the floor in front of him. It looked so small and innocent that night, but the days to follow it got worse and worse. He still (in December) has a bump on his chin and a little black eye.

Cute Kinbin in the Homecoming parade

Jack is my best eater by far. He loves my broccoli soup and eats my salad if it has ranch on it. Mini miracles.

If you have a great day at preschool the teachers give you a special crown to wear home. Oliver loves school, and is already sounding out words. Such a smart little bugger. Another walk to school, we met up with Quaid on our way one day (Gus' friend)

Such innocence while he rests

Nicholas was transferred to the small island of Corsica for a few months. They were able to baptize this lady in the ocean. I think there were 4 members on the entire island

Some of these are October 1st, but conference weekend we went with Grandpa Bruce to the cabin to stay. Grandma Linie went to Rachelle's retreat in Montana, so we took care of Grandpa. We watched 10 hours of conference. Which is crazy when you think about it. The kids were semi good during it, we pulled out the legos, and every session I had a different activity for them. Like a gingerbread haunted house to make and such. It was a great spiritual weekend. I tried to take pictures of the kids. Some turned out cute.

  1. Such cute pictures. Your boys have such a great life and you are such a great mama! Seems strange that Ollie still has a black eye from 3 months ago.
