2015 OCTOBER

October or the month Kyle and Gus look forward to all year. The Deer Hunt! It is tradition that we all go opening morning. We took "the Jimmy" to the sands bright and early on opening day. 2 month old Jack was quite the trooper. He actually likes riding in "the Jimmy" its so loud it puts him right to sleep. We had a lot of fun exploring all around the sands. It is really pretty out there. I go to find treasures, for example this time I brought home moss for my succulent pot, and a bag full of tiny pine cones to make a wreath or a garland out of. We had lunch in Mt. Charleston, let the kids run around then headed back out for the afternoon. We saw a few deer, but mainly made lots of memories. Kyle took us to the dinosaur tracks there, where I beat everyone in a race up a steep sandy mountain. We had a lot of fun. It started raining as we were leaving, I have never seen it rain so hard in my life. The road once you pass the ranch in Cane Beds gets nasty when it rains. We were sliding around everywhere. Gus was terrified, Oliver didn't know any better, and Jack fell asleep. I was quite scared myself! Don't tell Kyle but I have a lot of fun going, mainly because we explore so much. I am slowly learning to like it.

We took Grandma Linie and Grandpa Bruce with us to Western Legacy Farm for their Spooky Hollow Halloween carnival. We also had the Woodbury's and Lyon's over for pizza before and then took them as well. Jed's son Coop loves Gus, he would grab his hand and walk around with Gus. We asked Gus why he isn't as nice to Oliver as he is to Coop. He didn't know why... siblings I tell ya!

Gus played soccer again he had his last game this month. The first game he wouldn't even play and by the last game he was close to scoring goals. He loved it and DJ Meis was a great coach. Laurie and Jeremy's (Kyle's cousin) son Hank has been on his team the last 2 times. Its pretty fun watching them improve together.

We went to a Halloween party the night before Halloween at Beau and Tiana Davis'. We were the squatty potty duo with Jack as the pooped out ice cream cone. I love going to that Halloween party becuase everyone is so clever with their costumes. I loved Colby Stratton's this year. He was the worlds strongest man with his beach ball bar bells. I won one of the games, maybe the ring toss so I got a gift certificate to Chill or something similar to that.

Halloween we spent at Mikey Jeppson's funeral. Kyle worked with him at the counter at SPC, he was a great guy. We will miss him. We went trick or treating around the neighborhood, to Shane Tooke's, Grandma Linie's, Grandma Becky's, and a couple of other houses. They got too much candy as usual.

Jack Jack attack got blessed on November 1st. Kyle did such an amazing job. I think the whole ward told me how awesome his blessing was. I agree, he did such a good job. He is one faithful guy who  inspires me to be a better person daily. Who would have thought;) I bore my testimony, which only happens when I have kiddo's. I hate doing it but once I am done I love the feeling:) We had MaryLu's creamy chicken noodle soup, Linda's taco soup, rolls, chips, and my mom's chocolate cake after our church got out. Uncle Clayton, Uncle Kenny, Andy Funderburk, Ty, Travis, Cory, Mike, Bruce, Kyle, and Colton were in the circle. I'm probably forgetting someone but thats who I remember as of right now:)
