March 2015 was such a good month. We have church at 1 now so we have plenty of time in the mornings to get cookies and sweets made for after church. The first picture is of the boys helping me make cookies, my mom made them those cute reversible aprons. One side is Superman and the other side is Batman. Gus helps me a lot in the kitchen so he needed an apron badly. We have been big into puzzles. I bought the boys quite a few puzzles of the rummage sale. Gus is getting really good at doing them. I love that it makes him think and he will stick at it until he gets it done. The boys love laying on their Dad, as you can tell from multiple pictures from just this post. They were watching the rain/hail one evening and it was the cutest picture of all 3 of them. We haven't had a lot of moisture this winter so when it rains we take advantage of it and play in it even if we are sick with colds and shouldn't be out in the cold. Gus made boats out of various objects outside and had boat races down the ditch. We took the 10 hour drive to Cambria for Spring Break. The boys were so good the entire drive there and coming back. When you drive to Cambria you go through Orange farms, Pistachio farms, flower farms. Its a really pretty drive. We always say we want to stop at a fruit stand, and this one we stopped in before Bakersfield is really touristy, but it was fun tasting all of the fresh fruit. Gus is holding a budhist hand in one of the pictures, the workers said it was a type of lemon and used mainly for zesting. I loved the look of it. I love that me and Kyle took pictures of each other in our element at Moonstone Beach. We don't break away from finding moonstones or sea glass. We let the kids crawl, lay, play on top of us just as long as we can find one more piece of sea glass. I found a ton this trip, I was so pleased. It's a serious business finding the treasures. The Wilson's, Grandma Linie, and Grandpa Bruce came Saturday to enjoy Cambria for a few days with us. Gus loved having his cousins there to play with. Ava and Gus played and played and played. It was cute to watch how well they got along. Oliver put his magic spells on Noah and got him to read him books, we played at moonstone beach, sand dollar beach, San Simeon beach, and Cayuos Pier. Kyle, Summer, Gma, Gpa, Noah and Gus went to Hearst Castle. Poor saps ;) Just kidding Kyle loves that place and knew his Pops would love seeing it. We took them to see the ugly sea lions. We do that every time because the boys love it so much. We took them to Morro Bay, and to Taco Temple (the best food of the trip), we ate at the Sow's Ear the night before they left. We talked Caitlyn and Kinlee into watching all of the kids for us while we ate out. My family arrived Monday. The Barney's and Grandma Becky. My mom likes to work work work when she gets there. She tidied up the yard in no time. We had fun boogie boarding, even this pregger lady boogie boarded. Caitlyn on the other hand didn't even get into the ocean. Kyle helped Grant, Noah, Ava, and Gus boogie board. I was so proud of Gus this trip. He was a lot more daring and even boogie boarded. The morning the Wilson's and the grandparents left we took the kids to Moonstone to see if we could find candy rocks. They only come out a certain times, so I wasn't sure if there would be any but they were. The kids loved "finding" them with the help of the parents. I always wish we could stay a whole month in Cambria. I just love that place. The morning we left we took the boys down to Moonstone and they found awesome sea glass eggs ;) They were amazing and they held on to them most of the trip home. After Cambria we had fun at Sand Hollow again. Kyle talked his mom into buying Deloy's kayak and Kyle took it out on its maiden voyage. The boys loved riding in it as well. It has been so warm here. I got a nasty sunburn that day. Gus found tiny dead, big mouth bass. My sister found a cute chicken costume that she thought we would like, which we do. Oliver looks so cute in it. We love Costco carts because there are two spots for the littles to sit in. Gus is going to get bumped out of his once this other child arrives though. April took the cutest picture of Oliver at Grandma Linie's playing baseball, and to finish the month off a cute picture of Oliver laying in the enormous pile of stuffed animals. He pulls them down at least twice a week or more a long with every book in their room. It makes for a super fun mess for me to pick up!
March was busy, fun, and we spent a lot of time as a family which we love doing the most.
On to April...
Love that picture of Ollie drinking a bottle on while relaxing on your back (in Cambria). That little fart needs to visit his aunt Summer A LOT more (ahem, parents!) so he won't scowl at me and be scared of me anymore. Look at you getting all caught up on the blog! Way to go, Em!!
