JANUARY 2014 PART ONE

oh man, little behind on the blogging. January seems like so so long ago. New Years day we went golfing with Grandpa Bruce, and went on a ride to the top of Molly's Nipple. January is the month we shake my mom's pecan trees. What fun that is. Kyle loves it because he loves to gab to everyone.  Kyle and Gus went ice fishing on Kolob. Gus hated it because it was very windy and cold. Oliver my baby turned 1!! What?! Where did the past year go? He sleeps pretty darn well, but if I look at only his life in all of the sleepless nights he seems to be the age of 17 in my mind. Nighttime feedings/ bottle giving/ temperature taking/medicine giving really are hard. Oliver is the sweetest little boy. For his birthday I made him pancakes. Gus and I sang happy birthday and Gus helped him blow out his pancakes. After breakfast Kyle got home from checking his traps and we opened up his present. He got an electric toothbrush. Luckiest kid around, don't ya think. He absolutely loves chewing on it, so the $5 were well spent. We took him to the sand dunes and explored in Grandpa Bruce's jimmy. After his nap we met cousins and friends at the Washington Rec Center and went swimming. Oliver loved playing in the water and it was pretty warm which was a plus. Oliver still isn't walking at his first birthday, but we think it will be soon. He loves to follow Gus around, loves when daddy plays rough on the ground and tackles Gus and him. He plays basketball with his little hoop like a champ. He goes to bed at 7:30 or 8 wakes 1-2 times every night and is up for the day at 7:30 or 8. He is the happiest little dude and he has me wrapped around his little finger. He is truly a blessing to our little family.
