I was lucky enough to go to San Fransisco with my good friend Mindee to visit my other good friend Onjali. We had such a fun weekend with Oni. We hit the Palace Of Fine Arts, tried to find the Full House, went to Baker Beach, saw a nudist on Baker Beach. We later found out the North side of Baker is a nudist beach lol, went to the ferry building and hit the farmers market there as well as Cowgirl Creamery for steamed raspberry milk, we hit Miette to taste one or seven of their macaroons, we went to Boudins for lunch, Alcatraz which was amazing, rode the trolley through the streets of San Fran, walked up and down the pier, went to Union Square, and ate at Buckhorn, Lettuce, Whole Foods, Boudins, and Ghiradelli square to name a few. We were able to spend some time with Lacey Barberis who also lives there. She took us to Treasure Island, Lombard street, the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, and to Sausalito to eat the best fish tacos at Fish. Our last day we ate at La Boulange for breakfast (so good) I bought Kyle some macaroons to try, we walked around Lafyette Reservoir, and then we had to say our last goodbyes to our dear host and friend Onjali. It was so nice spending time with Oni and Mindee, it was extra nice having 4 extra hands to help with Oliver too. He was a champ the entire trip, we were constantly on the go. I can say I breast fed at every tourist stop in San Fran, those lucky souls who got to witness it... Onjali lives in the cutest town outside of San Fran called Orinda. She called us the day before we left telling us that her daughter had lice and she had been cleaning and disinfecting everything. Nothing was going to deter us from going though so I said lice or not I am coming. Luckily, we didn't get it but so stressful for her!
Ballard Family Reunion
Ballard Family Reunion 2013
Jarolyn Stout organized a Ballard (Dave) Family Reunion. It was a windy mess out there, but we persevered and ate yummy food, watched the cowboys brand, and reminisced with lots of people I didn't know very well. Good times had by all
April In Pictures
Kyle and Gus went to the ranch to work. Gus didn't get a nap and Kyle said he fell asleep with peaches in his mouth before they got to the gate.
Gus and Oliver at 2 months
We went to a couple baseball games. Gus fell in love with mama Steph and papa Troy. Uncle Tan was one of his favorites as well.
Branding. While waiting for the cowboys to bring in the cattle, we spruced up around the house for the reunion in May. Gus loves the ranch, Oliver slept most of the day.
We went with some friends to Sand Hollow to fish and eat. Kyle has taken Gus fishing there a couple times since. Gus loves going fishing.
April was also filled with lots of soccer games. Nicholas did so well, and Gus loved watching him and Addison play.
